Keeping Your Child Safe at Dromos Basketball

What we do to protect kids, plainly.

1

Every adult is screened.

Before anyone coaches or helps: an application, a criminal background check including the sex offender registry, reference checks, and an interview.

2

No adult is ever alone with a child.

Every session runs with at least two screened adults present, in the open gym, in view.

3

We coach in the open.

Sessions are visible. You are welcome to watch.

4

Release only to adults you name.

We release your child only to you or the adults you name on your form. If someone else comes, we call you first.

5

No private messages.

Team updates come through a parent channel, never private messages between a coach and your child.

6

Trained to recognize and report.

Every adult is trained to recognize and report abuse. If we ever suspect a child is being harmed, we report it to the authorities.

To raise a concern, contact child protection coordinator Nick Tofteland at nick@yourdromos.com, or the board at board@yourdromos.com if the concern involves the coordinator. The full policy is available on request.
